18th September 12pm (UTC) 19th September 12pm (UTC): A 24-hour marathon – Chase the sun!
We’re excited to announce the first-ever Global Work and Organizational Psychology Conference (G-WOP), a new initiative led by more than a dozen professional I-O societies and governing bodies from around the world. Our aim is to bring colleagues together for connection, reflection, shared learning, and meaningful action.
This isn’t a polished, glossy event (not yet, anyway). It’s a growing, collaborative space created by and for people who care deeply about the future αof work and the people within it. As the world of work continues to evolve, presenting both challenges and opportunities, we believe it’s time to come together, across borders, time zones, and career stages, to listen, learn, support one another, and explore the fascinating field of psychology that connects us all.
We’re putting together what we hope will be a fantastic 24-hour global marathon of conversations and ideas. The online format, spread across time zones and with every session recorded, is designed to make it easier than ever for colleagues from around the world to take part, wherever you are, and whenever it works for you.
We’re delighted to already have brilliant keynote speakers confirmed, alongside many more voices from across the profession. The programme will include sessions on employability, international mobility, and dedicated spaces for students and professionals at every career stage, with contributions from both practitioners and academics.
If you’re a current, paid-up member of one of the participating societies or professional bodies, the conference is completely free to attend. It’s included in your existing membership, and we hope it brings added value and greater accessibility to our global community.
We’ll keep you updated as the programme comes together, with the full agenda to be announced by 1st August, and registrations opening in two weeks.
We’d love for you to be part of this global gathering.
